I'm in need of a web-based program for my small water filters company. The software should help manage customer details, track installed equipment, and monitor maintenance and parts used over time.
Key Features:
- Customer Contact Details: The system should store comprehensive contact details for each customer and notes. there should be a flag also for customers that are late on payments
- Installed Equipment Records: Keep track of what equipment has been installed at each location.
- Each customer can have multiple equipment installed on multiple locations. Each location must be a different maintenance entity and the maintenance reminders must be based on each equipment.
- Maintenance History: Record past maintenance work to assist with future assessments.
- Next Maintenance: The system should flag when the next scheduled maintenance is due. There should be a manual override of the maintenance date in case the customer wants to postpone maintenance.
- Filter current month's maintenances to be performed. Filter also for any past maintenance that is not performed and late
- Map Based Planning: Incorporate a map feature to assist with planning maintenance routes.
- Keep a simple customer history record for phone calls with simple notes .
Maintenance Tracking Features:
- Every filter machine will have certain filter replacement spare parts
- Parts Usage Records: Keep a tally of what parts have been used during maintenance using checkboxes or something fast and similar.
- Technician Assignments: Assign specific technicians to maintenance tasks for current month and print reports with simple customer details and extra comments for each customer to be given to the assigned technician.
- Mobile Access: Enable technicians to access maintenance logs and customer info and location on mobile device
This project does not require integration with existing systems. Include user roles such as Admin and Technician with different access levels. I am open to suggestions for the best technology stack to use for this project. The software should prioritize a desktop-first design. Add basic statistical insights such as number of services completed, most used parts, parts needed for the next x months and technician activity summaries.
