With a large international audience, our channel aims to bring powerful storytelling to life with immersive visuals and captivating editing. We are seeking a creative short form video editor who can help us expand our reach through engaging short videos for platforms like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. Job Overview: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and creative video editor to produce short-form content (15-90 seconds) that captures key moments of our long-form true crime videos. The ideal candidate will know how to condense stories while keeping the emotional impact and storytelling integrity intact. This role is perfect for someone passionate about video editing, true crime, and Asian culture. Key Responsibilities: • Edit short-form videos (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels) from long-form episodes, creating engaging highlights and teasers. • Incorporate subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, and sound effects to optimize viewer engagement. • Adapt videos to different platform requirements and trends, ensuring proper format and aspect ratios (vertical, square). • Maintain the suspenseful and cinematic tone of the channel. • Collaborate with Megan and the production team to align content with the overall brand vision. • Stay updated with social media trends to deliver content that resonates with audiences. Requirements: • Experience: 2+ years of experience in short-form video editing, preferably for YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. • Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar editing tools. • Language: Fluency in English (Knowledge of Korean is a plus, but not required).
