Facial Recognition Web Application Development

Description: We are looking for an experienced frontend and backend developer to build a web application for facial recognition. This is a college project, and the goal is to create a minimal, functional version of the application where users can upload an image and get the facial recognition result. Frontend Requirements: Image Upload: Create a simple, user-friendly interface for users to upload images. Use React to build the UI. Display Results: After the image is uploaded and processed, display the result (e.g., identity match, similarity score, etc.). Use basic styling to keep the design clean and intuitive. (CSS, Material UI, or Bootstrap can be used to save time). Responsive Design: Ensure the frontend is responsive for compatibility across devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). Backend Requirements: API Development: Set up a Django backend to handle API requests. Implement image upload functionality using Django’s file handling methods. Model Integration: Integrate the VGG16 model (pre-trained) to process the uploaded images and perform facial recognition. The model should return results in a JSON format (e.g., recognized identity or similarity score). Basic Storage: Temporarily store uploaded images in the server or use cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3). Security: Ensure that images are processed securely, and there is no unauthorized access to the uploaded files. Scope of Work: Frontend: A functional and simple interface for image upload and displaying results. Backend: Django REST API to process images, run facial recognition, and return results. No login or authentication required for this version.
