Pricing Structure: o Typically, hotels sell rooms, so prices are per room. However, our package price is per person, broken down into individual rates for adults, children, and infants for packages like 3 days 2 nights, 4 days 3 nights, or 5 days 4 nights. o We primarily sell island packages that include meals, accommodation, boat transfers, and snorkeling activities, not just rooms. Different hotels offer different inclusions. Even within the same hotel, there are various packages like honeymoon packages, diving packages, snorkeling packages, advanced diving packages, and scuba diving packages. 2. Date Calculation Complexity: o The same hotel may have different per-person package rates depending on the check-in date, such as weekday rates, weekend rates, school holiday rates, and public holiday rates. Each hotel needs to set up its own calendar. o Each hotel has its own calendar, and the same date might be categorized differently across hotels. For example, May 1, 2025, might be a public holiday rate at Hotel A but a school holiday rate at Hotel B. Similarly, a Thursday check-in might be a weekday rate at Hotel A but a weekend rate at Hotel B。 3. Adult and Child Pricing Differences: o Each hotel has different criteria for categorizing adults and children. After a customer inputs a child’s age, different hotels may classify the child into different price categories. For example, an 11-year-old might be charged an adult rate at Hotel A but a child rate at Hotel B. o Different hotels calculate child rates differently. For example, Hotel A might offer a 25% discount on the adult rate for children, while Hotel B might have a completely independent pricing table for children based on room type and occupancy, unrelated to adult rates. 4. Varying Hotel Policies on Occupancy of child o Different hotels have different rules for whether children are counted as part of the total number of occupants. The package price is tied to the number of people in the room. The per-person package price for adults staying in a double room differs from that in a triple or quad room. For example: A room with 2 adult 2 child: • Hotel A uses the quad room package rate for adults, meaning children are counted in the total number of occupants. As a result, adults are charged the quad room package rate, while children are charged the child rate. • Hotel B uses the twin room package rate, meaning children are not counted in the total number of occupants. As a result, adults are charged the twin room package rate, while children are charged the child rate. • Hotel C uses the triple room package rate, meaning two children are counted as one adult. This results in the room being priced as a triple room (for 3 adults), and the children are charged half the adult rate (treated as half an adult). But if 2 adults and 1 child in hotel C, it will applies either hotel A or B’s method.
